The first rule of fake dating? Never fall for your pretend boyfriend. But no one ever warned me about falling for his best friend.
Alex Green has spent the last three years rebuilding her life from scratch. Sure, her job is hell, and her boss is Satan incarnate, but that's a small price to pay for a fresh start. She's content living her life within her perfectly drawn confines, unwilling to let anyone get too close.
But when popular movie star Adam Rice comes to her small town, Alex finds herself in a situation she never could've imagined. At first, pretending to be Adam's girlfriend seems like it will solve all of their problems. He gets the press off his back while she gets the benefits of being in a relationship without any messy feelings.

Cole Campbell has no problem watching the world from a distance. After dealing with a rocky few years, he's content to stand on the sidelines of his best friend's booming acting career. But when they travel to the opposite side of the country to film Adam's latest movie, Cole expects things to continue as they have. At least, until he meets Alex, and for the first time in a long time, he finds himself wanting someone, even if she's the last person he should have feelings for.
When annoyance turns to attraction, Alex and Cole find themselves drawn to each other. Feelings and loyalties get questioned, and they both have to decide if love is worth the risk, even if it comes at the most unexpected time.
