I will cover the board, chess pieces, rules, notation, basic mates, and elementary tactics. It then takes you by the hand and leads you through a whole range of more advanced strategies, including piece development, openings, pawn structure, and attacking the king. This book is recommended for young and old.My experience as a Fide School Instructor is based on teaching chess to children in Primary and Secondary schools as a volunteer in the age group from 7 up to 18 years old, as well as private tutoring to (senior) adults. From absolute beginners to aspiring tournament players in the regional and country competitions. I hope you will get as much pleasure out of the game as I have and as the famous coach Bruce Pandolfini wrote to me: “Love chess and it loves you back”.
